Every aircraft within 10 nautical miles of Tianshui Maijishan Airport (THQ) in Tianshui (Maiji), updated every 10 seconds.
Allow your location or type your address, and Backyard Radar shows every aircraft within a few miles of you on a live radar map. The closest one is at the top with its flight number, airline, route, altitude, speed and a photo. It also tells you which direction to look and how high above the horizon.
Planes broadcast their position, altitude and speed by radio (a system called ADS-B). Volunteers around the world receive those signals and share them through community networks such as adsb.fi. Routes come from adsbdb, and US registration records come from the FAA.
Some aircraft, including many military planes and some older small planes, don't broadcast ADS-B. Coverage also depends on volunteer receivers nearby, so rural areas and low-flying aircraft can be missed. Data refreshes every 10 seconds.
Yes. When a live feed exists for a nearby airport, the closest-plane card has a play button for the tower, ground or approach controllers, streamed by LiveATC.net volunteers.
Type a tail number such as N12345 or a flight number such as JBU2352 into "Find a plane" and the map follows it, with a trail of where it has been. Aircraft whose owners have asked the FAA not to be shown publicly are not tracked.
